Find a Home for your Belongings

Organizing, Uncategorized

UnknownHave I established Homes for my Belongings?

Think of all the odds and ends or miscellaneous items we have in our household from batteries to barrettes.  We tell our clients to find a home for these items.  All your batteries should be in one spot or plastic container so you know where to find them.  Where they live should be accessible and make sense.  For example, barrettes could “live” in the bathroom, batteries might “live” near the flashlights.  It needs to make sense for you and how you think of your home and use the space within it.  Organizing is as individual as you are.

We think of an organized home as the one that allows an individual to find a specific item at a given time.  Everything in your home should have a home of its own, a place where it lives.
